Feature: Forget Pecan Pie – Make This Easy Pecan Bar Cookies Recipe Instead!

Image: The Cookie Elf

This Pecan Bar Cookies recipe tastes just like pecan pie, but it’s a LOT easier to make and it’s more portable.

So it’s a good one to use when you’re thinking about what to take to Grandma’s at the holidays.

Corn syrup and pecans? Of course! Even a Northern-girl-married-to-southern-boy knows that those are 2 keys to a successful pecan pie.

But in place of a fussy pie crust is a simple cake mix base. That makes putting the bars together easy because the mix saves you steps.

Prep time: 15 minutes
Bake time: 45-55 minutes, divided
Makes 35 bars
