Feature: Blonde Brownies Recipe - THE Classic Brownies Variation

Image: The Cookie Elf

This Blonde Brownies Recipe is a variation of traditional chocolate brownies, but has become a classic in its own right. It’s a super easy bar cookie recipe.

Both blondies and brownies are bar cookies. You make them in a pan, cut them into individual pieces, and eat them with your fingers. Yum!

The difference is in the flavoring. Brownies call upon cocoa or melted chocolate for flavoring – and a corresponding dark coloring. Blondies are flavored with brown sugar and vanilla, tinted in a matching golden brown.

This version is uber easy to make. The bars call for just 7 ingredients – 8 if you sprinkle toppings on the surface.

Prep time: 10 minutes
Bake time: 25-30 minutes
Makes about 3 – 3 ½ dozen cookies
