Cookie Recipe of the Week:
S’mores Bars: Easy No-Bake Cookie Recipe

Image: S’mores Bars by The Cookie Elf

S’mores Bars are one of the easiest cookie recipes to make with kids – and one of their favorites. They require no baking. These cookies set quickly after preparing, too.

The cookies are a variation of the traditional campfire snack consisting of a roasted marshmallow and layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of graham cracker. The cookies use graham-flavored cereal as the base, combined with melted miniature marshmallows and melted chocolate chips to hold them together.

The name “s’mores” is a contraction of “some more” (that is, tasting so good that people always want “some more”), a term which is credited to a 1927 Girl Scouts publication.

Prep time: 10 minutes
Set time: 20-30 minutes
Makes about 42 bars
