Today, red velvet treats are becoming increasingly popular during the holiday season and in their own right for their distinctive color and rich, chewy flavor.

These cookies are beautiful on a Christmas cookie tray, but also incredibly easy to mix together. Start with a cake mix, add a few ingredients, mix the lot with a large spoon, and voila – they are ready to put in the oven.
