Image: The Cookie Elf

Nothing tastes or smells like Christmas more than Christmas sugar cookies. With this recipe, making cut out cookies cannot get any simpler!

These Easy Sugar Cookies have just 3 ingredients. You can mix the dough together in just a few minutes.

Plus, the cookie dough is soft. That means it is pliable and easy to roll when you make cut outs. Decorate the cookies with colored sugar and cookie sprinkles before you bake them. Or bake cookies, allow them to cool, and then decorate them with the Easy Royal Frosting recipe.

Have FUN!

Prep time: 30 minutes
Bake time: 8-10 minutes
Makes about 4 dozen cookies

12 Days of Christmas Cookies, Day 6: Cherry Christmas Refrigerator Cookies: Chill, Slice, and Bake when YOU Want

Image: The Cookie Elf

Red meets green in these festive Cherry Christmas Refrigerator Cookies, sometimes called Pistachio Cherry Refrigerator Cookies thanks to the pistachio pudding mix that’s added to the cookie dough.

They’re one type of refrigerator cookies – also known as icebox cookies or slice-and-bake cookies – that you shape into logs, wrap in waxed paper or plastic, chill, and then cut into cookies for baking.

Refrigerator cookies are timesavers! The dough is ready in the fridge when you want to make a few fresh cookies at a moment’s notice. Just chill, slice, and bake when it’s convenient for you or when company’s coming. Perfect for the holidays. And pretty, too.

Prep time: 30 minutes
Chill time: 1 hour – several days
Bake time: 9-11 minutes
Makes 2-3 dozen cookies
