No-Bake Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies: Peanut Blossoms Without the Oven!

In a unique twist, No-Bake Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies combine two iconic, easy cookie recipes into one: Hershey Kiss Peanut Butter Cookies and Homemade Rice Krispie Treats.

No-Bake Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies with The Cookie Elf

No marshmallows in this recipe! Instead, the ingredients hold together with peanut butter.

This is a fun and easy cookie recipe to make with kids. They can help by unwrapping the kisses, dropping the cookie dough onto the baking trays, and pressing the kisses into the centers.

And best of all … there’s no baking time. The cookies ready to eat almost right after you top them with kisses. 

Prep time: about 10 minutes

Cook time: about 5 minutes

Makes about 2 – 2 ½ dozen balls 

Ingredients

¼ cup packed brown sugar

½ cup corn syrup (either light or dark)

1 cup smooth peanut butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups crisp rice cereal (such as Rice Krispies®)

24-30 chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Directions for No-Bake Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

  1. Line a baking tray with waxed paper, parchment paper, or silicone mats. Set tray aside.
  2. Measure rice cereal into a large mixing bowl. Set it aside.
  3. Measure brown sugar and corn syrup into a medium saucepan. Set the pan on the stove top. Mix the ingredients together over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a full boil.
  4. Remove the mixture from the heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla extract and combine until smooth.
  5. Pour mixture over cereal. Stir the ingredients together until grains of the cereal are well coated.
  6. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop cookie dough in 1 ½-inch balls onto the prepared baking sheet. Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie ball and form the cookie around the base of each kiss.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool completely. They will set.
  8. Store cookies in an airtight container with waxed paper in between layers.

Special Baking Tips for No-Bake Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

Do not allow children to use the stove without supervision.

Unwrap the chocolate kisses before you begin to mix ingredients together.

When measuring the wet ingredients, coat the inside of a measuring cup with nonstick vegetable spray to prevent corn syrup and peanut butter from sticking.
